LYING. Why do people lie? People lie in order to control their external world. Lying is a way for those who don’t love themselves to somehow control your image of them so that you won’t see the “real” person they truly are. You can’t control outcomes. You can’t control what others think. They think other people can’t tell, but a little bird always tells us. The liar is obvious because we are all TRUTH at our core. Lying is also deception. People lie to gain advantage. Selfish reasons. People finagle, steal, and falsify the truth to protect themselves. Those who lie don’t understand; it doesn’t pay. We are all connected. LYING HURTS YOU. If you are honest and take the hit, in the end, you benefit for being true to yourself. Something larger than you is keeping score. You can only control your own character & integrity. You have to live with yourself. Tell the TRUTH people. It’s better to be honest and lose than a liar and win. This is my philosophy. Honesty is a trait I hold dear—even when it hurts. Remember, anything that’s not TRUTH is evil.
